DIY Blogging site

For the past two years, requests for creating and supporting websites have transformed into creating and supporting blogs.  Increasingly, people are opting to create their own blogs as sites like TypePad.com and wordpress.com (free) offer nicely packaged hosting and online blogging applications bundled into one.

The advantage of such sites is that you do not have to worry about applying the latest patch to your blogging software and related plug-ins.  For most folks, these sites offer an adequate selection of themes to pick from and changing the layout is a point and click affair.
