Sigma DP2 – what do you get for $650?
You get the camera, a drawstring case (offers no protection), usual USB and video cables, a battery pack w charger, manual, software on CD, neck strap (I went out an bought a ProPhoto wrist strap as it is easy to drop the camera). Sigma would benefit from recognizing that if a customer is spending $650 for a PS style camera, the customer is a person of expensive taste. So, Sigma, please go ahead and charge me another $100 and include a decent case, a cleaning cloth and a nice colored card that shows all the available accessories for the camera. Also, mention the fact that lens hood purchase is required in order to use filters.
From experience, I am a big believer of investing in good lens filters such as UV and Circular Polarizing filters.
Also, Sigma, please consider creating another package/kit of the camera with a decent case, lens hood & the two filters and charge about $200 more.
